Summary

Too many children between the ages of zero and five years old are growing up in the confines of a classroom. We know that children learn by doing so imagine a childhood without real world experiences. Almost one quarter of children living in America today spend more than eight hours each weekday in a preschool and/or childcare setting that is constricted to the four walls of a classroom and a connected playground. This session advocates for getting those children and their teachers out into the community and provides tips and tricks for using these spaces to build important skills that support future success in school and life.
