Science Teaching Meet Up
Monday, March 6
3:30PM - 4:30PM
Austin Convention Center - Room 18D
- Education Content Creator and Consultant
We all agree that science is the best subject to teach, but there are so many challenges. How can we keep students engaged with subject material that is often presented in a dry, boring manner? How can we incorporate elements of authentic inquiry into our lessons and labs, and what does "authentic inquiry" even look like? Is a flipped or blended learning model appropriate for our classrooms? How can we incorporate the NGSS into existing curricula? Chances are we've all been struggling with these questions. This meet up will give anyone interested in science teaching—students, teachers, administrators—a chance to hang out and have informal discussion about these topics and more.
