Summary

Say it so we all can understand. That's apparently much harder than it sounds for some of the very, very smart people who work in education, or who have ideas to make it better. Educators, policymakers and entrepreneurs often speak in the language of a doctoral thesis. Learn how to translate that complexity for the wider audience of investors, clients, politicians, taxpayers, journalists and the rest of us who, after all, are being asked to understand, adopt, and pay for the ideas you pitch. In a panel inspired by SXSWedu gatherings past, professional communicators demonstrate (including through role-playing exercises and improv) how to speak and pitch in plain English.
