Summary

How can design thinking powerfully serve as a force for equity and address the effects of oppression in education? How does approaching design with an equity lens alter the process of design thinking and open up more liberatory possibilities for the users, the process and the outcomes of design work? This session, a collaboration between the National Equity Project and Stanford’s d.school K12Lab, will provide highly engaging opportunities to practice equity-centered design to help tackle these questions. You will leave this summit with having used equity-centered design tools & mindsets on real-world dilemmas and take home actionable next steps for you & your organization.
