Participants will explore how distributive leadership can create more sustainable leadership structures by leveraging teacher expertise to transform school culture and improve instruction. This session will be led by Denver Public Schools district administrators and a school team that includes teacher leader, principal and assistant principal perspectives. Through exploration of diverse approaches to distributive leadership in Denver Public Schools, mini-case studies and school planning activities, participants will collaborate to identify next steps for growing or strengthening distributive leadership in schools to better leverage the collective expertise that already exists on campuses.
