Summary

#GetToYet

How do we get students from “I can’t do that” to “I can’t do that...yet?” Noah Rachlin will describe his work in helping students develop a “learning disposition,” with an emphasis on mindset, motivation, deliberate practice and focus. The project stresses the critical bridge between scholarship around non-cognitive skills and habits of mind and the daily, lived experiences of young people. Participants will be encouraged to share experiences with and ideas on how to integrate these learning approaches into their curriculum and extracurricular activities, as well as other collaborative opportunities to build upon and advance this work.
