#examtruth

Whether it’s TED talks; podcasts like Serial or The Moth; graphic memoirs like Hyperbole and a Half; documentary films and television series like ESPN’s 30 for 30 series; and/or the many best-selling creative nonfiction books which are adapted into Hollywood films, the modern literary landscape includes an incredible overlap of pop-culture, new and old media and mediums, and real events, and the main intersections are story and truth: creative nonfiction. This interactive workshop will engage participants in a variety of creative nonfiction strategies and activities in both critical reading and critical writing which they can adapt for use with middle and high school students.
