Summary

#antibiased

From recent presidential campaigns to attacks around the world, students witness negative interactions and discriminatory dialogue. Instead of shielding children, educators can help children process topics and be caring citizens. The principal of a social justice-oriented charter school and three industry leaders: WGBH (children’s media expert), Tufts University (developmental scientist) and Teaching Tolerance (anti-bias advocacy leader) will describe innovative approaches and the development of evidence-based strategies for building collaborative partnerships from a strength-based perspective. These tools will equip educators and students to face challenging issues in open and reflective ways.
