This workshop is broken down into two parts: understanding the data landscape and learning how data can empower you as a higher education professional. This workshop will give you the basics of how analytics can empower higher educational professionals to better understand their students, faculty, and staff while, at the same time, introduce them to some of the big tech players in the data business. We will go over the free tools such as Facebook Insights and the big dogs like Radian6. The ultimate goal is to help you become an informed user and consumer so you can decide what tools best fit your institutions needs.
