Summary

Do youth care about privacy? Social media researchers and librarians say “yes,” and can show how young people take positive steps to protect personal privacy. Open Society Foundations funded an ALA project for librarians to work with high school students on privacy issues. One project focused on problems faced by immigrants to the U.S. This SXSW panel includes three librarians who worked with students on these OSF grant projects. An Austin area student will join the discussion.
