Generative AI and education are permanently intertwined and the technology will likely play a big part in students' future careers. So instead of asking the question "how much AI writing is too much?" let's shift the conversation to finding ways to incorporate the technology in the classroom to facilitate authentic learning with educator guided AI assistance, without hindering students' learning development. Let's bridge the gap between students and educators, and create holistic learning experiences that ensure learning milestones are met, while at the same time discovering the ethical uses of generative AI. This session will discuss the rise of the technology, its intersection between academia and academic integrity, and a solution that can help enable widespread transparency, and fair and equitable grading in the age of AI.
