AI Tools to Support Literacy & Computational Thinking

Generative AI has the potential to be an effective tool to personalize learning by curating content and promoting student collaboration. But we must also address important questions about how to integrate AI in safe, equitable, and ethical ways within classrooms. Our panel will share lessons learned through the creation and implementation of an AI-storytelling platform co-designed with students and educators from a low-income NYC public school district, and we will explore effective strategies for implementing STEM, AI literacy, and creative writing activities in elementary school classrooms.
