No Family Left Behind: Boost Multicultural Parent Engagement

Multicultural families are often overlooked when schools seek parent engagement due to perceived language barriers, uncertainty about their contribution to school activities, and unfamiliarity with cultural differences. Schools find it difficult to connect with these parents, and parents feel ill-equipped to integrate themselves into a new educational system. This session will provide an overview of how schools can engage and embrace these parents and create a comprehensive academic team for the student, strategies for building respectful relationships, and the impact on student success.
