Helping Youth Talk About the Israel-Palestine Conflict
Our session would allow teachers and students to preview the Institute for Youth in Policy's co-curricular activities that equip students with the tools to engage in dialogue about the Israel-Palestine conflict. The session consists of two activities, one which helps individuals detect biased coverage of the conflict and the other which teaches individuals the techniques and norms of civil discourse so that they are prepared to express their thoughts about the conflict and listen to others' perspectives. The curriculum was developed by two rising college freshmen, one Muslim and one Jewish.
This is an accredited session for CPE credit.Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
