We Love You Here: Decreasing Chronic Absenteeism
Post-pandemic, chronic absenteeism has surged across districts. This session will challenge the notion that we have an attendance problem, proposing instead that we have a relationship problem. Rooted in the Dual Capacity-Building Framework for Family-School Partnerships, I will present strategies centered on engagement and love. Attendees will learn how to build and sustain trusting, respectful relationships that drive student attendance and success. The session provides actions for practical application, joy, and recovery for those committed to partnering with families.
