Linda Loomis

Linda is an educator with over 30 years of experience. She retired after 27 years with Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland, a diverse suburb of Washington, DC, where she taught mathematics and served as a resource teacher or department chair. She was also a secondary math specialist in the Office of Curriculum and Instruction, writing and implementing curriculum, and supporting and training teachers and teacher leaders. After her retirement, she worked with Maryland Public Television and Data 11y, adapting Jo Boaler's Explorations in Data Science to an accessible, online course for the state of Maryland, called Introduction to Data Science, and creating an online professional development course for prospective teachers of the student course.
