Marqez Bimage

Marqez is a philanthropic advisor, sports intellectual, and UT Austin and UC Berkeley Alumnus. A former football student-athlete at Texas & Cal, he has competed at the highest levels of sport, under immense pressure and scrutiny. Marqez showcased a counter-narrative story by choosing not to participate in the 2020 Texas football season. Instead, after graduating from Texas in 2021, he joined the UC Berkeley football team as a walk-on and secured a scholarship just a day before classes began. Marqez has extensive interest in the intersection of sport and education, and his research & pursuit of excellence was honored as the recipient of the Jonathan & Judy Hoff Scholar Athlete of the Year at UC Berkeley. One of the top linebacker recruits in the country, Marqez found advocacy work quickly, and was soon a leader in the student-athlete movement during 2020.
