Kelis Barton

Kelis is a former soccer student-athlete at Washington State University and the University of Central Florida, where she studied Journalism & Media Production. During her student-athlete experience, she interned with Voice in Sport, worked for the National College Players' Association (NCPA), served as the Head Student Intern for WSU Athletics social media, was elected to the WSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and co-founded the WSU Black Student-Athlete Association. Kelis pursued her professional soccer dreams in England, where she aimed to find her sense of belonging and community as an activist overseas. Unfortunately, injury hampered her first season, but she is rehabbing home in the USA and ready to play soccer again shortly.
