Taina Torres

Taina is a Managing Partner at Transcend. She is responsible for setting the strategic vision and leading a portfolio of rural specific school & system innovation. This work includes directly supporting school and system redesign through direct partnerships, rural systemic change strategy as well as democratizing resources so that more rural communities will have access to tools to go on design journeys. This work is personal for Taina as she grew up in Rural Georgia and has a deep connection to & belief in the power of rural schools. Prior to her time at Transcend, Taina worked with a team in New York City to design, launch and co-lead the first high school for Emergency Management in the United States. Taina enjoys running, spending time with her husband, daughter and pet pug.
