Sarah Brasiel

Dr. Sarah Brasiel is an Education Research Analyst and Program Officer in the National Center for Special Education Research where she is an advocate for educational approaches that are accessible to all students. Her prior research focused on improving middle school teachers' pedagogical content knowledge about integers and using randomized control trials and quasi-experiments to evaluate the effects of inquiry mathematics and science curriculum and instruction, mathematics educational technology, and reading interventions. She also conducted research to understand students’ computational thinking during coding experiences through the use of educational data mining approaches. She has a Ph.D. in mathematics education from University of Texas at Austin.
