AI & the Workforce of the Future

AI is shaping the future of work. By 2030, activities accounting up to 30% of hours worked could be automated—a trend accelerated by Gen AI. However, we see Gen AI enhancing the way STEM, creative, and business professionals work rather than eliminating a significant number of jobs outright. Workers in lower-wage jobs are up to 14 times more likely to need to change occupations than those in highest-wage positions and women are 1.5 times more likely to need to move into new occupations than men. We will discuss labor demand, AI hype & hysteria, AI fluency, and scaling adoption.
