How to Be a Freedom Fighter

The right to read is under attack. The unprecedented attempts to remove books and cancel events in libraries and schools calls for ongoing resistance. The Unite Against Book Bans campaign leverages grassroots organizing to facilitate direct action in opposition to censorship attempts across the nation. Join an author, student advocate, librarian, and community organizer for an examination of how censorship harms communities and threatens democratic principles. Attendees will learn proven ways to engage their communities, defend intellectual freedom, and support educators and librarians.
