Centering Diverse Perspectives in Professional Orgs

This session is part of the special 2024 Crossover Day. Attendance is open to all SXSW EDU badgeholders as well as all SXSW badgeholders. As always, SXSW strongly believes in the power of mixing creative communities.

Professional networks serve as important supports for educators and educational leaders. They help to retain staff, build relationships, and provide awareness of and access to impactful resources. Are your networks reaching everyone who could benefit from membership and provide value to your community? Are diverse voices being centered? Networks for Education Equity, a community of eight networks including NCSM and NAESP, have come together to uncover new ways of networking to better support our deserving members. If you are considering similar ideas, come meet-up and share your experiences!
