Resilient Anti-Bias Educators Build Adult SEL Skills
Research shows when we experience stress, we are more likely to act on our biases. These actions can inhibit the very thing we aim to create - belonging. Anti-bias educators have had to endure increasing amounts of stress in recent years and are tapping into resilience in new ways. In this session, we will examine our own basic needs fulfillment and resilience habits, building essential self-awareness and self-management skills. We will engage in self-reflection and use activities to explore the adult social-emotional skills needed to be responsive to student needs.
