Building Networks for Success: The Social Capital Advantage

Who helped you get to where you are today? Was it a teacher, friend, community member, or mentor? The truth is we’ve all benefited from social capital in some form or fashion. We can’t expect students to unlock their potential by themselves. By combining insights from research and practice, this conversation will define and dissect this concept of “social capital”–what it means, who has it, how to measure it, and why programs putting it at the center of their work are successfully unleashing the next generation of future leaders and changemakers.

Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
