Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is: Trust BIPOC Parents

More families are exploring out-of-school learning to fill enrichment gaps, yet BIPOC and low-income youth are nearly three times less likely than their white, affluent peers to enroll in these opportunities. In this session, we’ll introduce three dynamic Black female leaders who are innovating within the fractured and inequitable non-traditional learning ecosystem in order to liberate more learners. What happens when we trust BIPOC parents with direct-to-family funding and empower families to make their own educational choices? We’ll explore that with the expert practitioners on our panel.
