Participants of this session will learn how racism-related stress and subsequent response; racial battle fatigue impacts BlPOC educators while also crossing over into their lives outside of the workplace. The impact of racial battle fatigue on educators and their families leads to pushout. It also causes families to urge educators to leave the field of teaching causing a pull out from traditional education systems by family members. This is an important conversation to have as there continues to be an emphasis on the recruitment and retention of educators of Color.
