In a time where social justice and Black & Brown empowerment are needed now more than ever, this session seeks to unpack the relationship between scholarship and how it can be used in motivating actionable items. Students are often eager to get involved, but lack the foresight and guidance, this is where the classroom comes in. As educators we will discuss different strategies on how to optimize the classroom experience in ways to empower student engagement in the community.
