Improvised Assistive Tech $5 Mystery Box Challenge
Participants will briefly play with improvised assistive tech, such as an eye gaze board made from $2 of office supplies or pencil grips made from rubber bands. Then, they will break into teams and be given a mystery box of common around-the-classroom supplies. Each box will have unique contents but teams are encouraged to trade, share, and donate. They will be given 15 minutes to improvise a solution to a real life, observed need. After, we will discuss our decision and design process.
