Inclusion of Students with Emotional Disturbance
The majority of students receiving special education services for emotional disturbance (ED) are taught in general education settings, presenting a significant challenge for teachers, school-based support teams, and the students themselves. This presentation outlines important considerations for the responsible inclusion of students with ED. Research based practices that can potentially improve student academic and behavioral outcomes and areas for future research are discussed.
